As of 1 July 2010, a written application must be made to a representative of the housing association for maintenance and alteration work performed or commissioned by a shareholder in an apartment or other condominium.

The partner undertakes to ensure that maintenance work or alterations are carried out in accordance with good construction practice and the conditions required by the housing association or another shareholder. The applicant undertakes to have the HVAC work carried out by a professional in the field. Upon completion of the maintenance or modification work, the supervisor's report must be submitted to the property manager for archiving.
The written approval form must be signed at the property management office by the shareholder or his / her proxy. Remember that, work must not begin until both parties (shareholder and property manager) have signed a letter of acceptance.
