In accordance with the new Housing Corporations Act, the shareholder must notify the housing association in advance in writing of the alteration work, if it may affect the part of the property, building, apartment that is the responsibility of the company or another shareholder, or the use of the company's or another shareholder's condominium. The notification must also include the necessary reports on the renovation measures (sufficiently specific). Change work may not start until the company or another shareholder has had a reasonable time to process the change work notice.

Alteration work register for renovations in the apartment. Keeping the register is the responsibility of the government. In practice, the government orders the maintenance of the register from a hosting company. Changes made to the apartments are shown in the property manager's certificate.

Supervision of renovations must also be arranged. In practice, the government has agreed with the hosting company how the renovations will be monitored. The costs arising from this are paid by the partner. The partner has an obligation to repair damages if the renovation causes damage to the housing association or other residents. Supervision does not remove the responsibility of the person responsible for the task.

You can fill out the change job application page. Remember that the processing of a change job application can take several weeks. Therefore, fill out the modification work application well in advance of the planned start date of the renovation.

As of July 1, 2010, a written application must be made to the representative of the housing company for maintenance and modification work done or to be done in the shareholder's apartment or other condominium.
